Keep Safe with Tree Climbing Safety Equipment
Many children like to climb trees and they do so seemingly without any care for their safety. Although we allow them to climb, we are worried about the possible danger of this activity. As adults however, we know that safety is a prime concern before climbing a tree. This means inspecting and making sure that all your tree climbing safety equipment are in order and functioning properly, that they are made of durable and sturdy materials, and that they fit your body properly. You could seriously injure yourself if you don’t have the right safety equipment and ignore safety precautions. You may think that climbing trees without using safety equipment is fun and adventurous but since this activity can be very dangerous, expert tree climbers do not recommend doing so.
It is also important to make sure that the tree you will be climbing is free from potential dangers like nearby power lines. You should also look for any sign of damage to the tree itself, especially on the tree trunk and roots. Fungi and insect infestation can render a tree unfit for climbing. Bees, wasps, poison sumac and poison ivy are also some of the dangers you must avoid when climbing a tree.
